My 19th Birthday

I turned 19 on the 28th of August (yay!) and I really had the best time on my birthday. Thanks to my family, you really made me feel like the happiest girl. I started my birthday with 2 beautiful cakes at midnight (sadly I couldn’t eat them all at once) and then we went to the lovely café Glücksmoment in Hanover. The staff even gave me this little cute cupcake for my birthday which was soo delicious! And doesn’t it look super pretty?

Later we went to the Herrenhäuser Gärten. It was a lovely summer day and we had a great time.

The weekend afterwards I celebrated my birthday together with the whole family. I decided to do a menu with recipes out of this awesome vegetarian cookbook The Green Kitchen by Green Kitchen Stories.

At first we made this lovely Carrot, Tomato & Coconut Soup.

Second Course were those Falafel with Cashewnut-Dressing and Tomato-Chili-Salsa.

For Main Course we had those lovely Hazelnut-Aubergine-Mushroom Papilottes with fillet of pork, roasted carrots and fennel with this awesome spread of red pepper and rosemary.

And for the dessert we had peaches with pistachio honey crumble and vanilla ice cream. Yum!

My mum also wrote more about my birthday here.

Thanks to all the lovely people who made my birthday so special! I love you. (And of course many thanks for the presents, they were pretty great too.)

All the best,

Johanna
